Principal's Message
Welcome to Lakewood Creek Elementary School!
Proud home to the Coyotes, Lakewood Creek provides an environment in which all students can thrive. In partnership with families and the community, our school encourages high academic standards, positive self-esteem, diversity, and honorable character.
My time in SD 308 began in 2014, when I worked as the assistant principal at Fox Chase Elementary School. I started as the principal here at Lakewood Creek in 2019. I also carry with me my experiences as a teacher, teacher assistant, substitute teacher, and more in Plainfield and Oak Park.
The amazing staff in our building know how to embrace the “unique educational journey” hinted at in our district’s mission statement. We are willing to try new things in order to have the best and most supportive school environment. We are flexible in our instruction. We appreciate that students have a voice and encourage them to use it!
Our primary focus revolves around our students’ well-being; we understand that our important emphasis on academics only comes into play after making sure everyone feels loved, safe, and supported at school. We H.O.W.L. every day at Lakewood Creek, believing we should Help Everyone, Own Our Actions, Welcome Diversity, and Love Our Community. With these as our guiding principles, we work together to make Lakewood Creek a truly amazing place.
